Steps
- 1
Define your goal
Do you need family portraits, business headshots, or a personal album? One clear sentence helps the photographer suggest the right location and duration.
- 2
Collect 3–5 references
Not an entire Instagram feed — only images with light, colours, and mood you like. Send them before the conversation.
- 3
Book your slot
Popular months in Riga fill up 2–4 weeks ahead. Summer evenings and winter midday are limited — plan early.
- 4
Align on details
Ask about pricing, number of delivered images, turnaround time, and whether a short outfit/colour consultation is included.
- 5
Prepare physically
Get rest, bring water, arrive 10 minutes early. For kids — a snack and a brief explanation that the session is a short game.
- 6
Trust the process
Many of the best frames happen between “official” poses. Let the photographer lead, but speak up if something feels awkward.
